Field notes

Short observations from Mid-Atlantic pasture and silvopasture practice.

Field notes are short observations from study and practice in this region — one paddock’s lesson, not universal law. They are tagged grass, density, or trees, and they always point back to an evergreen guide.

v1 will hold a handful of notes (about three to six), not an endless blog. When a note earns its place, it will appear in the list below.

How to read them

Each note should answer: what was the context, what did we see, what decision changed, and what would we repeat or avoid. Then it links to the matching guide — rotation and rest, reading the pasture, stocking density, tree choices, or another evergreen page.
